Services provided to HCA

This group of doctors provide medical advisory services for HCA's The Wellington Outpatient Diagnostic Centre in general practice. In their role, they lead interactions with hospital medical staff and the hospital leadership team to assist the hospital by providing medical advice and promote high quality, cost effective care.

They contribute to the strategy, policies and decision making regarding general healthcare services, and the patient journey, at our diagnostic centre in Golders Green and advise HCA to ensure that care provided within the facility is appropriate and efficient.

In their role, they advise on initiatives to drive clinical standards by providing professional advice on clinical governance matters and ensuring the adoption of those by colleagues in the general healthcare services area. They also advise on the development of services lines to meet the needs of the local community as well as ways to ensure the patient pathway is seamless. Examples of this has been paediatric development and they assisted in the introduction of paediatric rheumatology.

These doctors are providing professional advice to HCA on clinical governance matters. The doctors participate as speakers at patient seminars, service seekers and service provider events and assist HCA in preparation and implementation of policies and procedures for the facility to ensure quality assurance and compliance with all relevant UK legislation and regulations.

Future plans include the development of our female health service, which will include public health awareness events.

All services provided under this agreement are charged to HCA UK on an hourly basis as a rate of 179. This figure has been audited by market experts Laing Buisson and is considered fair market value.

HCA requires the doctors that advise us to attest that if they also practice in the NHS that they are not compromising their NHS commitments.
